Ocean Diver Course - Starting throughout the year according to groups being formed.

This course provides you with the essential knowledge and skills needed to prepare for open water diving. Learning to dive is all about learning to use your equipment properly and safely. The Ocean Diver training course concentrates on preparing you for this in the safety of a swimming pool or sheltered water and then introducing you to open water in a controlled and safe manner. This also gives you the opportunity to practice safety skills in the company of a qualified instructor or experienced diver.

We invite you to join for the first two sessions with no obligations before deciding to continue for the full course.

There is no payment needed for all training services ( Club Instructors do so on a voluntarily basis).

If you decide to continue the course, you only need to pay for three things:

  • BSAC Membership (includes diving insurance)
  • Training materials - Professional Standard Course Package (needed from the third lecture onwards).
  • Hire of Diving Equipment - This can be paid on a per session basis over the course period and depends on needs of dive or equipment needed.
